Because why the hell not.

"Just put gears on it and call it steampunk"

This was done in part for Critical Miss [link]

Punk genres like Cyberpunk usually deal with advancing technology alongside social decay, and that technology allows the main characters to challenge social norms. I think a Victorian woman, suddenly forced into self-reliance by a zombie apocalypse would have a very, very interesting perspective on that. It may have been a joke, but its actually a REALLY good idea.

Also, the fact that so much thought and effort was put into making a joke that could have been a throwaway one as believable as possible is incredible. Love this picture.

Lesbians can be normal, she just has the look on her face I've seen a lot of them have, and her eyebrows are thick. Also that's either a toothpick or a cigarette, so yeah. She's into women.

The cigarette is actually a purposeful reference to "The Torches of Freedom", which was an encouragement by the women's liberation movement for women to begin smoking as a sign of rebellion. It might be made for satirical purposes but I did put quite a bit of thought into it. Also, I would say that her eyebrows are the perfect, average size. Having thin eyebrows are actually quite irregular, imo.

I mean, I don't want to come off sounding like a preachy, politically correctness zealot - but the media is to blame for the stereotype. She looks normal, and therefore need no assumption that shes a lesbian. Hell she looks pretty feminine to me, just angry and fed-up.

Well this is trippy. I opened this link right as the new Critical Miss was loading in the next tab... Though I was going insane for a second there. Well, more insane.

I really, really, really hope this becomes a real thing, even if it was intended as a joke.

Me too. Someone on the crit miss forums was talking about making it as a L4D mod with original dialogue and everything. I'd totally be down with that, if I actually knew enough about game dev. Thanks for reading :)
