Finally finished. It took me a long time because I had other stuff I wanted to do, but at least I managed to stay on this drawing and finish it. Finally something in my gallery that I can call "good".

CS3 + Good old Mouse

After some consideration, I've decided to redo the Second Sin picture. HAVEN'T GIVEN UP YET, but decided to go another direction.

I realized that the original picture was lacking emotion, dialogue, composition, and perspective. I may be able to do colouring somewhat well, but having just that isn't nearly enough to create a good piece of work. So I'm going to go this direction instead.

absolutely beautiful, the red glow cast on everything by the mid-ground mecha is wonderfully done. The damage on the environment is also very detailed. The only thing that's a little off is the vapor trails from the missiles, but that doesn't take away any of the "epic". Once again, again, beautiful picture.

Prefection in my eyes. Well balanced and expertly composed to deliver an emotional scenery that can take the viewer there without the description. Great level of details that didn't detract away from the main subjects who are just as equally detailed and in the end enhanced the overall picture's quality. Everything put in here seems to belong here, it was a probelm that the original picture had but its a long forgotten bad memory in this one. If you ever get the money again, you need to invest in a WACOM cinitque, even a 12" one wouldnt hurt the wallet that bad.

Thanks man :D It was because of your initial advice that led me to change the picture, so I really appreciate it. Yeah I'm trying to save up for a tablet, but my family financial situation is not too well atm, so I'll have to wait and see. Practicing with mouse trains patience too I guess so it's not all bad.

My tips on the other issue you have is to remember 'save' for it dont try to get it first and then buy for it later, this causes alot more finical stress than most people need.

Get a plan, or at least a general direction on how to save that hard earned cash.
Reduce what you get billed for this doesnt have to always end in sacificing too much for example I recently turned off my 16 mbs cabel in exchange for the 4mbs cabel internet, I have never gotten anywhere close to the 2mbs mark so... why pay the extra? Got cabel tv or sat tv? but only watch it for 2-4 channels? Im sure hulu is a far cheaper alternative, there is also usually dvd sets for your favorite shows usually 6 months after they're out (of course those get expensive real quick you could barrow them though from friends) Also cheaper not so namebrand foods you really cant tell the differnece in quality/taste.

And of course start early as possible if your in the hole on getting out, some people just dig way too deep and they're looking at a 40 year debt, If you think about it I dont think anyone wants to have a carrer in debt.

Other than that keep improving your art and yourself in every way you can Im sure youll pull through.

Yeah I know, I hate buying things in debt too and I never do. Plus I rarely buy stuff anyways. Only debt I have to worry about is my University fee's later but that won't be too much of a problem if I find a half decent job. Thanks for the tips :)
